Aamir Ali, a staff scientist at 202Q-lab, recently presented at the Quantum Optics Workshop in Benasque, Spain.

In his talk, “Symmetry-selective coupling-based QED,” he presented a device architecture developed in our lab that enables coupling between microwave waveguides and a superconducting circuit, engineered to selectively interact based on the symmetries of its energy states. He highlighted the versatility of this scheme through five experiments carried out in the 202Q-lab, spanning applications from entanglement generation between itinerant photons in separate waveguides to microwave single-photon detection.
