Overview
Our group is part of the Quantum Technology Laboratory, a division of the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2) at Chalmers University of Technology. We are also part of the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT).
Our research targets questions such as:
Can we efficiently store and manipulate quantum information in harmonic oscillators?
How to connect two quantum processing units to boost their performance?
Can we use quantum mechanics to build a better engine or refrigerator?
Or charge a battery faster?
What kind of light-matter interaction can we engineer in our platform that could be useful for quantum simulation?
Can we enhance light-matter interactions with topological properties and exploit them in useful ways?

From research to utilization
Most of our research originates from scientific curiosity. We are passionate about science and driven by a desire to explore and understand. We design our proof-of-principle experiments with an eye towards applications, either in the short term (novel sensors, devices, experimental techniques etc.) or long term (nanoscale engines, novel architectures for quantum computation, etc.).
Diversity
We are a team of individuals with diverse backgrounds. We cherish the diversity of our team as an opportunity for personal and professional growth, and a boost to our performance.
Our ambition is to create an inclusive environment where we learn to look at things from other sides, broaden our perspective, and constantly improve our research, communication, and management practices.
