Building and Programming a Quantum Computer

Chalmers University of Technology is proud to offer a Chalmers Tracks course in quantum computing, designed for master’s students across all educational programs. This hands-on, cross-disciplinary course welcomes participants with a basic background in mathematics and physics.

Throughout the course, students explore real-world challenges in quantum technology by formulating and addressing research questions across the full quantum computing stack—from cryogenic hardware and quantum control to quantum algorithms and software.

The course, jointly organized by Simone Gasparinetti and Attila Geresdi, was held in both Fall 2021 and Fall 2022.

As part of the program, four student-led research projects were conducted. The final project reports are openly available for public access here.
