We’re hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher in Superconducting Quantum Devices

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team and push the boundaries of quantum technology, specifically in the development of travelling wave parametric amplifiers (TWPAs) based on the nonlinear kinetic inductance of superconducting thin films.

This position is funded through the prestigious Knut and Alice Wallenberg (KAW) Proof of Concept Grant in AI, Quantum Technologies, and ICT — a strong foundation for impactful, cutting-edge research.

You’re the right fit if you:

  • Hold a PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Nanotechnology, Microwave Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Have hands-on experience in one or more of the following: mesoscopic physics, superconducting circuits, nanofabrication, cryogenics, microwave design, or microwave measurements

Position details:

  • Full-time, two-year appointment with the possibility of a one-year extension
  • On-site presence required throughout the employment
  • Applications submitted by April 16, 2026 will receive full consideration — rolling review until filled
