Dupouy Simon from ENS de Lyon (Department of Physics) will join 202Q-lab in an internship for a couple of months starting in May 2022. His project is focussed on“Quantum tomography of continuous variables quantum states and processes”.
Abstract:
In quantum tomography (QT), pulsed time domain measurements of quantum systems are used to map out both quantum states and quantum processes of both traditional qubit as well as bosonic modes (in which the quantum information is typically encoded into a linear oscillator). Especially for bosonic modes, the protocols for quantum process tomography are under intense development within the field of quantum computing. In this project, the approach to QT for bosonic modes (currently under development at Chalmers for 3D cavities) will be applied to a planar circuit quantum electrodynamics platforms.
